     City Cares of America - "Cares groups" are creating, managing and leading hands-on service projects designed to combat critical community needs, cultivate active, involved citizens and create systemic change.

     Network for Good - Online resource to help people find volunteer and giving opportunities in their own communities and beyond.

     VolunteerMatch - Volunteers enter their ZIP code on the VolunteerMatch web site to find volunteer opportunities posted by nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations.

     Impact Online - volunteers helping non-profits over the Internet.

     Network For Good - This site is all about effective use of the Internet and technology for nonprofits. It has three main areas of focus; fundraising, volunteers and advocacy. It not only provides information on these topics, but also offers itself as a tool for nonprofits in these three areas. So a nonprofit can register itself to receive online donations through this site, recruit volunteers and collect signatures on petitions. Network for Good, an independent, 501(c)(3) organization, was founded by the AOL Time Warner Foundation and AOL, Inc.; the Cisco Foundation and Cisco Systems, Inc.; and Yahoo! Inc.

     Points of Light - volunteer centers.

     Project America - inspires and teaches people to take positive steps in their communities and creates partnerships between volunteers and the organizations that need them.

     United Way of America - national system of volunteers, contributors, and local charities built on the proven effectiveness of local organizations helping people in their own communities.

     VISTA - places individuals with community-based agencies to help find long-term solutions to the problems caused by urban and rural poverty.

     Corporation for National and Community Service - the domestic Peace Corps

     idealist.org - This site has links to over 26,000 organizations in over 150 countries and provides tools for nonprofits (starting, running and funding a nonprofit, recruiting and managing volunteers, and technology for nonprofits), career resources, and volunteer opportunities.

     AmeriCorps - Corporation for National and Community Service, the domestic Peace Corps

     City Year - Building democracy through national service

     SCORE - The SCORE Association (Service Corps of Retired Executives) “Counselors to America’s Small Business” is a nonprofit association comprised of 10,500 volunteer business counselors throughout the U.S. and its territories. There are 389 SCORE chapters in urban, suburban and rural communities. SCORE members are trained to serve as counselors advisors and mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners (including nonprofits). These services are offered at no fee, as a community service.
